About Libby Labs

Libby Labs began life as a small manufacturing site in Berkeley, CA. For the first couple of years, the company focused on chemical specialties and sanitary chemicals. Then, in 1962, the company moved to a larger site and expanded its scope to include cosmetics. This led them to become the pioneer company to work with natural ingredients, and a second manufacturing site was opened in 1966.

As the company grew, Libby Labs soon became involved with a major national company marketing skincare and cosmetic products. In 1976, Libby Labs moved to a large, new facility in Berkeley and expanded its hair and skincare manufacturing and packaging capabilities to offer a broader range of options to its clients.

For more than six decades, Libby Labs has pioneered many of the current cosmetic trends you see in stores and on TV. We have worked with many different companies to do breakthrough product development work, including being the nucleus of the natural cosmetic wave in the 1960s.
